Joint reign of Basil II and Constantine VIII. 1025-1028. AE follis (29.3 mm, 14.20 g, 5 h). Anonymous class A2. Constantinople mint. +ЄMMANOV[HA], Nimbate bust of Christ facing, wearing pallium and colobium and holding book of Gospels / +IhSЧS / XRISTЧS / bASILЄЧ / bASILЄ ', inscription in four lines; pellet ornament above and below; IC ? XC in fields to left and right. SBCV 1813. Good VF, full-flan and well centered, green patina.

It is not certain what the final vertical stroke at the end of the 3rd line of inscription might be - it may just be an extra upright the engraver didn't stretch the legend to use in in final "Ч". The pellet between 2nd & 3rd lines is an artifact of die layout rather than part of the design
