A choice pair of Colima figures from West Mexico, ca. 300 B.C. - 300 A.D. The male is 5-1/8? high and is wearing a fancy loincloth with tassels. The female is 4-5/8? high and is wearing an incised loincloth with tassels on the side. Both are adorned with nearly identical necklaces, headdresses and ear ornaments and are depicted in the same body position. They are intact, have good mineral deposits and are almost certainly made by the same artisan. Value range: $500 - $800.
