A wonderful Jamacoaque figure from Ecuador, ca. 300 B.C. - 400 A.D. This lovely Chone type standing female is 7-5/8? high, is posed with arms to the sides and palms facing forward. She is wearing a long skirt, the traditional headdress and is adorned with a necklace and bracelets, as well as ear and nose ornaments. In addition, there is facial d?cor representing ceremonial tattoos, a rarely seen feature. In excellent condition, good paint remnants and mineral deposits. Value range: $500 - $800.
