Earl of Breadalbane 2nd Battalion Volunteers, 1798, an oval silver award medal by A. Gardner & Co, soldier in Highland attire, right hand on sword, initials J.C.D.L. engraved on upper ground line, rev. presented to the volunteers of the 2d battn. by their colonel the earl of breadalbane in testimony of their gallant conduct in having volunteer'd their services to ireland to suppress rebellion and to aid in repelling a french force which had invaded the kingdom, 49 x 35mm, 17.25g (cf. Noble 107, 1904). Good fine, very rare; with integral loop and ring for suspension £200-£300
