The Pavilion Collection, Commemorative Medals, George, Prince of Wales and Prince Frederick, a trio of medals, silver and bronze (2), 1764, unsigned, child bust of each to l. and r., Prince's feathers in crown over the former, Bishop's mitre the latter, 29 & 28.5mm. (BHM.84; BDM VIII, 136), extremely fine, the first choice and extremely rare in this metal (3)

Prince Frederick Augustus (16 August 1763 – 5 January 1827), second son of George III, received the honorary title of Bishop of Osnabrück in February 1764. Thomas Stainton (in his annotated copy of BHM) attributed the medal to Thomas Pingo, however Eimer does not confirm this.
