Whitley, after a portrait miniature by Richard Cosway, R.A. (1742-1821), bust three-quarters r., wearing jacket with Garter Star, in high relief, ornate raised border with ribband around reading, GEORGE - PRINCE - OF WALES, rev. legend in 8 lines, BORN ... MARRIED TO CAROL.INE OF BRUNSWICK ..., the medal 47mm., but with additional flan, 58mm. (BHM.391), a trial striking with the flan untrimmed (and unrecorded thus), otherwise very fine and extremely rare
