Prince William Henry (1765-1837), third son of George III and later to succeed his brother as William IV. The medal believed to have been issued to commemorate a 'Grand Entertainment', given at the Mansion House by the Lord Mayor, Sir Charles Price. W. Hollins was Past Master of St. Paul's Lodge, Birmingham. The Prince of Wales had been initiated by his uncle, the Duke of Cumberland, in February, 1787 at a special Lodge held at the Star & Garter, Pall Mall. Meanwhile, William, Duke of Clarence, with his naval connections, was initiated into Prince George Lodge No. 86 at Plymouth in March 1786. He was appointed Past Grand Master of the Premier Grand Lodge in May 1787 and became a member of Prince of Wales's Lodge, becoming its permanent Master in 1827 until 1830.
