The revolving temple, the Temple of Concord, that was erected in Green Park was the work of Sir William Congreve, Bt., of Congreve's Rockets fame. As the medal states it was 'Erected for the Display of National Fireworks in Commemoration of Peace, 1st Aug. 1814'. The display was 'not surprisingly, very loud and impressive'.
