It was believed that an attempt on the life of the Regent took place in the Mall on the 28th January, 1817. He was returning to Carlton House in his carriage, driving through hostile crowds, when the window was twice holed with shots. This medal, which may have been issued by a King and Constitution Club, is only recorded in white metal.
