A similar medal but lacking glass to the obverse, was sold at Bloomsbury Auctions, 25 September 2007, lot 572. Thomas Wells believed to be a working name for Thomas Wells Ingram (1799-1844). The medal's reverse shows the letter F in the otherwise blank exergue.
