Henry Blackstone Williams (1812–?1879), admitted a scholar of Winchester College, 1825. The only son of the Rev. Canon David Williams, D.C.L. (also a Winchester scholar, 1799); New College Oxford, 1829; Fellow, 1831; B.A. 1833; M.A. 1837; Greek Tutor 1837-45; Dean of Divinity, 1838; of Arts 1839; Bursar 1840, Sub-Warden, 1841. He was Curate, Bishop's Canning, Wilts. 1837-46; Select Preacher at Oxford, 1847-9; Incumbent, Southwick, Hants, 1847-50; Prebendary Vicar of Salisbury, 1870-9; Rector Bradford Peverel, 1850-79. He married in 1845, to Christiana, eldest daughter of Rev. James Baker (another Winchester scholar, 1800)., See also lot 445.
