EGYPT, Alexandria. Valerian I. AD 253-260. Potin Tetradrachm (23mm, 11.05 g, 12h). Dated RY 6 (AD 258/259). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Laureate bust of Zeus right; L ς (date) across field. Köln 2876; Dattari (Savio) 5180 (this coin); K&G 88.39; Emmett 3723.6; Kellner p. 133, pl. 15, Abb. 2 (this coin). Dark brown surfaces, some scattered porosity. Good VF. Dattari called this coin "fabbrica barbara" in his catalague. The fabric is normal, but the style is slightly off.
