Richard III (1483-85), Groat, type IIb, Tower, 2.92g, 7h, m.m. BH2/BH2, crowned bust facing, in double-tressure of 9 arches, lys on cusps except above crown, rev. long cross and pellets (N.1679; Stewartby IIb; S.2156), a striking split to rim at 9 o'clock, otherwise a bold fine.
