Edward I (1272-1307), Groat, Tower, Type B, 5.56g, 2h, m.m. cross pattée, tricolon stops, + edwardvs: d'i: gra: rex: angl, 'crescent'-crowned bust with pearls, rev. dn's | hibn' | e dv[x] | aqvi' on outer ring, lon | don | [ia] c | ivi in inner ring, pellet-barred n and top-tilted s in dns, tricolon before (Allen (2004), dies b4/r12, and cf. pl. III, 25; Fox 6; North (B), 1008; S.1379B), once brooch mounted with field scarring at 3 and 9 o'clock on obverse, and a scuff to reverse, otherwise struck details very fine, and quite pleasing, rare.
