Charles I (1625-49), Halfcrown, a forgery from false dies, struck in base silver, in the style of Group III, type 3a2 var., Tower, 11.61g, 6h, m.m. triangle, •(m.m.)• carolvs.' d.' g.' mag.' brit.' fra.' et.' hi.' rex, King on horseback left, holding upright sword, sash flying behind, rev. •(m.m.)• christo • avspice • regno (Brooker 1188 same dies; Besly [1984], pl. 8, no. 8, same dies; cf. S.2777), same dies as next, of fine workmanship on a round flan, a trace of surface gilding, otherwise fine.

It is interesting to note the combination of stops and contraction marks utilised in the die, with the presence of such after 'ET' indicative of an engraver who was ignorant of the latin and absence of an abbreviation here.
