Charles I (1625-49), Shilling, a contemporary forgery from false dies, struck in fine silver, in the style of Group E, Tower, 4.79g, 1h, m.m. tun, reads hib: rex, crude portrait left, xii behind, rev. christo • avspcie • regno [sic], square-topped shield over cross moline (cf. Sharp F1; Brooker 1199, same dies; cf. S.2794), good fine/very fine, rare.
