Charles I (1625-49), Halfcrown, a contemporary forgery from false dies, struck in base silver, in style of Aberystwyth, 11.75g, 1h, i.m. book, •(i.m.) [c]arolvs d g mag brit • fra' et h[ib] rex, slender horseman left rev. [c]hristo av[spice....], oval-garnished shield, plume above (Brooker 1210, same dies; cf. S.2878), heavily double-struck with a broken die, largely illegible but an evident die link to the Brooker plate coin, scarce thus.
