Charles I (1625-49), Halfcrown, a contemporary forgery from false dies, struck in base silver, in the style of Oxford, '1644', 11.53g, 10h (cf. Brooker 888-90/904 and 907 for 'curly 4'; cf. S.2958), of base fabric with limited surface silvering extant, nevertheless fair to fine, unusual and rare.
