Commonwealth (1649-60), Halfcrown, a contemporary forgery from false dies, struck with silver layering over a copper core, '1653', 13.12g, 7h, m.m. sun (on obv. only) (cf. ESC 28 [431]; cf. N.2722; cf. S.3215), struck on a small flan with areas of blistering to expose copper core, otherwise fair to fine.
