Commonwealth (1649-60), Shilling, a contemporary forgery from false dies, struck in base silver, '165[?], 4.31g, 10h, m.m. anchor (on obv. only), appears to read england d, with second d 'dangling' below legend (cf. N.2725; cf. S.3218), of baser fabric with date letters unclear and superficial verdigris in recesses, otherwise well-struck up, almost very fine, rare.
