Richard II (1377-99), Halfgroat, Tower, type II, 2.19g, 8h, m.m. cross pattée (on obv. only), reads fr, trefoils on cusps, double saltire stops, lombardic ns, rev. double saltire stops, single before posvi (in place of m.m.), reverse-barred ns, bar above last (Potter II-1/IIb; N.1322; S.1682), slightly clipped with rougher surface -marked fields, otherwise a bolder fine, rare.
