Richard II (1377-99), Halfgroats (2), Tower, type III/II mule, 1.67g, 7h, m.m. cross pattée, reads fra, trefoils on cusps, double saltire stops, lombardic ns, rev. double saltire stops, horizontally-barred ns (DIG III-1/II-7; Potter III/II; N.1323/1322; S.1683/82), creased, with rougher surfaces, fair, the mule very rare; another, 'true' type III, 2.16g, 6h, similar to last (DIG 1/1; Potter 6/IIIa; N.1323; S.1683), slight flan crease, fair (2).
