IONIA, Ephesos. Circa 390-325 BC. AR Tetradrachm (23.5mm, 14.57 g, 12h). Ekataios, magistrate. Struck circa 390-380 BC. Bee with straight wings / Forepart of stag right, head left; palm tree to left, EKATAIOΣ to right. Pixodarus Class A, obv. die 3, otherwise unpublished with this magistrate. Toned, rough surfaces, scratches. Near VF. Very rare with this magistrate, Kinns (in Pixodarus) notes only two examples, in the Durasalar hoard (IGCH 1202, in Istanbul), and one from the Pixodarus hoard. There are none in CoinArchives.
