Trajan Decius. AD 249-251. Æ Dupondius (24mm, 9.52 g, 12h). Rome mint. Special emission, early AD 250. Radiate and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / Liberalitas standing left, holding abacus and cornucopia. RIC IV 120c var. (bust type). Glossy green patina, some roughness. Near VF.

From the Collection of a Gentleman, Kent, England.

The bust type for this issue in RIC is "radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right," but it is also invariably seen from the front. Here the bust lacks the drapery, and is seen from the rear.
