AV Écu d'or à la chaise (29mm, 4.39 g, 1h). 3rd emission, 5 January 1348. + PhILPPVS DЄI GR'Λ FRΛnCORVM RЄX, Philippe enthroned facing, holding sword; coat-of-arms to right; all within tressure of arches; annulet and double annulet stops / + XP'C VIHCIT XPC RЄGIHΛT XPC IИPЄRΛT (sic), ornate cross fleurée with voided quatrefoil at center and leaves in quarters; all within quadrilobe with arches ending in trefoils; double saltire stops.
