Judaea, Bar Kokhba Revolt. 132-135 C.E. AR zuz (18 mm, 3.08 g, 1 h). Undated, attributed to year 3 (134/5 C.E.). 'Simon' (Paleo-Hebrew) within wreath of thin branches wrapped around eight almonds, with a medallion at top and tendrils at bottom / 'For the freedom of Jerusalem' (Paleo-Hebrew), upright palm branch. Mildenberg 66 (O14/R38); TJC 279c; Hendin 1416. Overstruck on a drachm of Trajan with inscription partially legible. Good very fine.
