WORLD MEDALS, includes France, Napoleon's Ashes Return from St Helena to France, (1821), in bronze (50mm), by Caque 1840, obverse, bust of Napoleon right, reverse, Eagle holding lightning bolts above an inscription all within a wreath and with legend around, edge impressed with an acorn and Bronze; Town of Valenciennes, undated, in bronze (51mm), by E.Lemoine, obverse arms of the town, reverse, open wreath, edge impressed '1987 an acorn Bronze'; Ireland, Irish Surplus Revenue Dispute, 1753, in bronze (43.5mm), with suspension loop, obverse, Hibernia and others in discussion, reverse, 10-line inscription with legend around; Italy, Benito Mussolini medal, in bronze (50mm), by L. de Kuzmik 1928, obverse, head of Mussolini left, reverse, eagle and Facist symbols; another, 1928, in bronze (29mm), by G.Castiglioni, obverse, head of Vittorio Emanuele III right, reverse, naked rider on a horse left and holding a Facist symbol, milled edge; St Francis of Assisi/St Chiara Assisi medal, undated modern issue, appears to be silver (34mm). The Irish medal with some verdigris marks, otherwise very fine - extremely fine. (6)
