ITALY, Campania, Neapolis (Naples), (c.340-240 B.C.), silver stater or didrachm, (7.32 g), obv. head of nymph to right, bunch of grapes behind, rev. man headed bull walking to right, crowned by Nike flying right above, below monogram of **PA*, below exergue [NEOPOLITWN], (cf.S.307, Sambon 438, SNG Munich 234 [same dies], BMC 47 [p.98]). Unusual almost full flan, toned, nearly very fine and scarce.
