SICILY, Messana, (425-421 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.19 g), obv. **MES SANA* retrograde, biga of mules driven right by charioteer, wearing long chiton and holding reins in both hands and kentron in right hand, in exergue, two dolphins swimming snout to snout, rev. **MESSA N I ON*, hare leaping right, below a dolphin to right, (cf.S.851-2, Boston 292 [this obverse die], SNG ANS 363 [this obverse die]. Caltabiano 533). Well centred, good very fine and very rare.
