SICILY, Syracuse, (c.480-475 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.59 g), obv. slow quadriga driven to right by male charioteer, Nike flying left crowning horse, rev. **S URA KOSIO N* around to right, head of Artemis-Arethusa to right, hair slightly waved and turned up behind under diadem of beads, four dolphins around, (cf.S.913, Boehringer 331 same dies [obverse 163, reverse 231 dies]), Randazzo 499-503 [same dies]). Nearly very fine/fine, rare.
