SICILY, Syracuse, (c.445 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.69 g), obv. quadriga to right, Nike flying above crowning horses, rev. head of Artemis-Arethusa with hair waved all over, bound with ampyx and diadem, enclosed in net, around four dolphins, (cf.S.931, Boehringer 641, [V.326/R.441], McClean 2685-6 [same dies]). Toned, weak on both sides, porous, very good and rare.
