SICILY, Syracuse, (c.445 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.48 g), obv. quadriga to right, Nike flying above crowning horses, rev. head of Artemis-Arethusa with hair waved all over, bound with ampyx and diadem, enclosed in net, around four dolphins, traces of **S U RA KO SI ON* around, (cf.S.931, Boeh. 564 [V.285/R379] 19 noted, Virzi 214). Corroded and worn, very good.
