MACEDON, Kingdom of Philip II, (359-336 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (13.48 g), Amphipolis mint, issued c.348/7-342 B.C., obv. head of Zeus laureate to right, rev. naked youth or small man, on horseback to right, rose below, above traces of **FILIP POU*, (cf.S.6683, cf.Le Rider 220), silver fifth staters (2), posthumous issue of Amphipolis mint issued 323-315 B.C., (2.45 g), obv. head of Apollo to right, hair bound with tainia, rev. naked youth on horse prancing to right, uncertain symbol below horse; another (2.59 g), holed, AN monogram below horse (coin holed), (S.6689, Le Rider Pl.44,12-18 for second coin); another AE 17, (6.72 g), uncertain Macedonian mint, obv. head of Apollo to right hair bound with tainia, rev. naked youth on horse prancing left, **FILIPPOU* above, with spear head below, (cf.S.6696, SNG ANS 853, SNG Greece II 359) (illustrated). First two silver coins very porous nearly fine, third coin holed otherwise very fine, last coin nearly extremely fine. (4)
