MACEDON, Kingdom of Alexander III, (325-320 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.92 g), Susa mint, obv. head of Herakles to right with lion skin, dotted border, rev. Zeus seated to left, eagle in outstretched hand, to right and below **ALEXANDROU BASILEWS*, monograms to left and under throne, dotted border (cf.S.6749, Price 3829, M.-, specimen in Hersh). Bright surfaces, porous reverse surface otherwise fine.
