MACEDON, Kingdom of Philip III Arrhidaios, (323-317 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.18 g), Pella mint, issued under Antipater or Polyperchon, 323-318/7 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right with lion skin, dotted border, rev. Zeus seated to left, eagle in outstretched hand, to right **ALEXANDROU*, Corinthian helmet on left to left, dotted border, (cf.S.6749, Price 212, M.191, SNG Ash. 3164). Bright surfaces, nearly extremely fine and well struck.
