IONIAN ISLANDS, Chios, (478-431 B.C.), silver drachm (didrachm Sear), (7.82 g), obv. Sphinx seated to left, amphora before, grapes above, on circular raised shield, rev. quadripartite incuse square punch, (S.4594, Mavrogordato 24, HGC 6, 1121, BMC 6-11). Very fine and very scarce.
