AUSTRALIAN ARMY SEWING KIT, nicknamed 'The Housewife', in fold-out khaki cloth, includes needles on woollen fold-over flap and loose cotton thread in one pocket, penned in ink on the lower pouch, 'T103089/W Guest'; trench art envelope opener, made of aluminium (possibly from aircraft wreckage), blade inscribed on one side with palm trees on dunes and the words, 'New Guinea/1943-44'; the lid of a Princess Mary's Christmas 1914 gift tin in brass; aluminium dog tag, impressed, 'C.OF.E./H.1067./STD./R.V.WEBB.'; also War Medal 1939-45, impressed naming to B.2617. W.R.A.Parker. No ribbon on the last item, otherwise good - very fine. (5)
