Bermuda Bermuda Government 5 Pounds 17.2.1947 Pick 17 PMG Extremely Fine 40. A simply outstanding issue, seldom seen, and even more impressive in Extremely Fine grade. Only 350,000 of these "Canary" notes, as they were affectionally called, were issued between 1947 and 1952. Issued before the pound was devalued, this denomination had serious buying power in Bermuda and was not often saved as a collectible. At the time of cataloging, only eight examples grade finer in the PMG Population Report. A splendid banknote and one of the key notes for the famously beautiful British Colony. From The Drs.
