Israel Israel Government 50 Mils ND (1952) Pick 6 PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ. A high grade small-sized issue utilizing deep red and orange inks. Repeating, circular patterns, and an intertwining rope-like border are used to create an image of the mosaic floor in the ancient synagogue at Beit Alpha. Several of these intriguing examples obtained the nickname "shtikhim" (Hebrew for "carpet") because they had carpet-like designs. When the value of alloy outweighed the value of the denomination of the coin, the government implemented several fractional issues. This example represents the smallest denomination. From The Drs.
