Southern Rhodesia Central Africa Currency Board 5 Pounds 10.9.1955 Pick 18a PMG Very Fine 25. A eye appealing example featuring a favored portrait of Queen Elizabeth II along with a vignette of the Wankie Colliery buildings on front. Vignettes of Victory Falls and a sable antelope head are displayed on the back. Amazing guilloche designs and well blended tranquil inks are utilized on this first signature issue. A hard to find issue with only four examples registered in the PMG Population Report and surprisingly, the Queen Elizabeth II 5 pound note is much scarcer and more desirable that the earlier King George VI note from Southern Rhodesia.
