William IV gold Proof "Coronation" Medal 1831 PR61 Cameo NGC, BHM-1475, Eimer-1251. 33mm. By William Wyon. Only 1203 examples of this medal were produced in gold, and of this low mintage 238 were subsequently melted, leaving just 965 remaining. Deeply Prooflike, the fields a smooth sun-yellow with a hint of reddish color, and dotted with light contact marks as typical for the type. Rarely found with a Cameo designation and highly desirable as such.
