THESSALY. Larissa. Ca. 460-400 BC. AR drachm (19mm, 6.02 gm, 6h). NGC AU 4/5 - 3/5, scratch. Thessalus standing right, nude but for chlamys over shoulders, petasus attached to cord and flying behind with chlamys, holding band in both hands around the forehead of bull leaping right; beaded border / ΛΑΡ-ΙΣΑ, bridled horse galloping right; all within incuse square. BCD Thessaly 372.3. Boston MFA 882.
