Iran Kingdom of Persia, Imperial Bank 1 Toman 10.4.1900 Pick 1b PMG Very Fine 30. Beginning in 1890, the Imperial Bank of Persia contracted with Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. Ltd. to provide a series of notes for circulation which would ultimately be used from 1890 to 1923. The denominations included 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, 500, and 1000 Tomans. The highest two denominations were held in reserve at the National Treasury. This is a moderately circulated example of the lowest denomination and represents the variety with black serial numbers. Some minor repairs have been noted by PMG but, otherwise, this is a very attractive note for the assigned grade.
