A rare 100 Rials Color Trial Specimen from the 1933 to 1935 series, which are only known in Proof or Specimen format. This Color Trial Specimen is the sole registered example of this type in the PMG Population Report and also serves as the plate note in Owen W. Linzmayer's The Banknote Book. The portrait of Reza Shah in military uniform and Pahlavi hat is featured on the face. Vignettes of a fortress and coat of arms adorn the back. One POC and printer's annotations in the upper right margin are present. Highly desirable, especially in this condition.
