Bermuda Bermuda Government 1 Pound 30.9.1927 Pick 5a PMG Choice Very Fine 35 EPQ. Enhanced by completely original paper and a simply stunning design, this widely sought after type has an interesting history. The Bermuda Government was unhappy with the paper quality of the previously issued 5 Shillings banknote, and employed Waterlow & Sons to design and print the 1927 series. Using both solid-letter and split prefixes, this denomination was issued for 10 years, amounting to 450,000 pieces in total. Simply beautiful and widely sought after in this elite grade, which is bettered by only 10 examples in the PMG Population Report at the time of cataloging.
