Canada Bank of Canada $500 1935 Pick 55p BC-18FP; BC-18BP Face and Back Proofs PMG Superb Gem Unc 67 EPQ; Choice Uncirculated 64. A very pleasing French text pair of Proofs that will satisfy the most demanding of collectors. There is not a single French $500 issued for circulation that is in a private collection. Therefore, Proofs of this series and denomination are the only choice for collectors. However, Proofs are very difficult to acquire as PMG has graded only two pairs, with the Face Proof in this lot having the highest grade of the two examples registered in the PMG Population Report. Please note the Back Proof has an approximate .375 inch bottom edge tear in the cardstock. Pencilled number "0797" graces the back of both cardstocks.
