Canada Bank of Canada $50 1954 Pick 71a BC-34a "Devil's Face" PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ. A gorgeous example that shares the second finest grade in the PMG Population Report. The "Devil's Face" design in the hair of Queen Elizabeth II was an honest and unintended consequence of the design. After this series was released in 1954, the public began to notice what they saw as a grinning demon! The Bank of Canada acknowledge the design flaw and readjusted the hair in 1956.
