Russia 1 Medal USSR Hero of the Soviet Union Instituted 1934. Narrow red ribbon in fixed frame. 5-pointed Gold star anepigraphic. Rev. Serial 7570 over ГЕРОЙ CCCP. Back of the screw back nut is inscribed МОНЕТНЫЙ ДВОР. This "Gold Star" was not considered an Order but the highest Soviet decoration.
