WORLD WAR I MEDALS. Belgium. World War I Bronze Victory Medal, Instituted 1919. MINT STATE.
Barac-144. 36mm. By Paul Dubois. Obverse: Victory, with head lowered right, holding sword and laurel wreath, and standing atop the sun; Reverse: Belgian coat-of-arms surrounded by nine allied coats-of-arms. Loop attached at the top, though rainbow-colored ribbon is lacking. Alluring brown surfaces with a delightful matte nature.

This World War I victory medal is in the same vein as others issued by the allied countries, similar in their use of the rainbow-colored ribbon, which is not present with this example.

From the Richard Jewell Collection.

Estimate: $30.00- $50.00
