WORLD WAR I MEDALS. France. World War I Bronze Victory Medal, Instituted 1922. EXTREMELY FINE.
Barac-417. 35mm. By Pierre-Alexandre Morlon. Obverse: Victory standing facing, head uplifted, holding olive branch and laurel wreath; Reverse: Laureate Phrygian cap left between R - F; legend in five lines below. Loop attached at the top, though rainbow-colored ribbon is lacking. Charming yellow-brown surfaces, with some light wear on the highest points.

This World War I victory medal is in the same vein as others issued by the allied countries, similar in their use of the rainbow-colored ribbon, which is not present with this example.
